Environmental Sustainability

Our sustainability pledge

At Kendons, we understand the importance of environmental sustainability and the role businesses play in preserving New Zealand for future generations. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and are proud to introduce a range of eco-friendly initiatives that aim to reduce our annual emissions by 10% by the end of 2025.

We have implemented policy changes to further cement our pledge and are working with our partners at Lumen to measure our carbon footprint and find practical and workable solutions to accurately track and reduce the environmental impact of doing business.

We are committed to continuously revisiting and building on our pledge.

Our sustainability targets

Kendons is committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Our goal is to reduce it by 10% by the end of 2025, lowering our carbon emissions from 97.30 tCO2-e to 87.6 tCO2-e.

One significant area we're focusing on is employee commuting, which currently accounts for 50.6% of our carbon footprint. To address this, we're promoting and encouraging sustainable commuting methods to reduce this area by 10%.

Flights contribute 22.4% to our carbon footprint, so we're implementing a 20% reduction plan by offsetting carbon and reducing international travel.

We plan to decrease our reliance on electric energy by 10%. This will involve switching to LED lights and exploring energy-saving options.

We're excited to continue our efforts in reducing our environmental impact and finding sustainable solutions for the future.
